Family photography is my PASSION. Possibly because i’m deep in it myself, with 2 teens and a little one. I LOVE capturing a family’s unique dynamics, teenage banter, busy toddlers, and that deep love & connection.

Being a mum, I know the feeling well of time passing too quickly, and that desire to freeze it and capture every possible moment. I also understand that none of us mums ever feel truly "photo-ready" and it can also be an effort to convince the gang (dad!) to get in front of the camera. But I regularly jump up on my soapbox about the importance of EXISTING in photos, not for ourselves, but for our little ones to treasure in the future. And I honestly haven’t met anyone who’s regretted it, some dad’s have even been heard to say “wow, that was actually fun!”.

My ultimate aim is to make the WHOLE experience relaxed and fun and provide you with photos you’ll treasure forever! I’ve come to realise, in my 13+ years in the industry, that my superpower is being able to make people feel at ease in front of my camera. Possibly because i’m a clumsy old dork (intimidation is NOT my middle name), but either way, it means you end up relaxed & enjoying yourself while I get candid, beautiful images. Winning! I usually end up going home with a few new little friends too; my favourite bonus.

I'm a huge fan of the great outdoors. I love capturing the beauty of a family in the wonder of the great outdoors, a combo made in heaven. We’re utterly spoilt by choice here in South West Vic.

Jodie is amazing. I have always refused to be photographed and when I had my first child I still felt very uncomfortable. Jodie was the first person in 10 years to make me feel comfortable in front of the camera. As my children grew they have become very energetic and boisterous. Jodie takes it all in her stride, never gets frustrated with them but embraces their special brand of crazy and produces amazingly beautiful photos of us. I understand photography is a luxury investment and I offer my clients nothing short of the best. It's my personal guarantee. Speaking as a mum now, I personally believe that beautiful photos of my family are priceless, memories that i’ll always treasure (as they will, after i’m gone) and i’ve never regretted investing in them.

Yes! I’ve been asked thsi a lot lately so it’s earned a place in my FAQ’s. Vouchers can be for any amount, to go towards any session or print product. A mini session is an ideal (all inclusive) gift and extended family gift vouchers have proven a very popular “let’s all chip in” gift for mums.
Short answer: ASAP! As soon as you’ve discovered you’re pregnant is the perfect time to contact me and lock in your spot. I take a limited number of bookings per month so please get in early to avoid missing out. The best time to have your BUMP session is between 34 + 38 weeks of pregnancy. And when it comes to BABY sessions, i’m not overly strict with timings, it really depends on what you’re after, That newborn squishiness or waiting a few months for those gorgeous gummy smiles. I love babies of all ages. The older they get, the more personality they develop, particularly that 1-3 month age, which is perfect for a more lifestyle shoot at home or outdoors. These are just my recommendations as a guide but I’m always very happy to be flexible.
It all depends on what kind of shoot you’re after. For outdoor family shoots, sunrise or sunset are the PERFECT time. They can be midweek (for a mini session) or Saturdays (for a full session). In-home or studio sessions can be any day midweek between 9 & 3 or Saturday mornings at your home. My Saturdays fill up quick though so please get in early!
Ahhh the age old question! Every mum asks this one. But don’t worry, when you book your session I’ll send you an information pack with lots of helpful hints & advice to help you get your crew looking fabulous. My advice will always be keep it simple, keep it YOU and keep it classic. And don’t overthink it! It’s often easiest to get you (mum) sorted in first and then work everyone else’s out to compliment yours. But there’s loads more handy tips in my info pack & I’m always up for a chat prior to your session if you’d like to pick my brains over outfits. Fun! Oh and I have a client closet full of beautiful dresses for the mums who want to wear something new without having to buy it, I also have loads of beautiful, neutral outfits for your bub to wear during your newborn session which you’re most welcome to use.
Absolutely! I understand that good photography is an investment, one that I want to make accessible to all. I'm VERY happy to offer payment plans to suit your needs. Just ask.
Let’s face it, we live in Victoria. The weather is unpredictable at best! So i’m more than happy to be flexible and roll with it. I often suggest we have a backup date just in case the weather doesn’t play ball and I always check in a few days before to make sure we’re still good to go. And sickness? Well we can’t help that either right? I’m a mum, I totally get it. And i’m always happy to reschedule if needs be.
Heck yes I do!! I have loved photographing many rural families out on their properties in surrounding South West Vic areas. I love coming to Port Fairy, Timboon, Peterborough and all along the coast and I also travel as far as Colac, Geelong and Melbourne for shoots. Just ask, if I can make it happen i’ll be there with bells on! Any travel over 30 minutes from Warrnambool, I do charge a small travel fee.
Short answer, no. Sorry! Not even elopements i’m afraid. I stick to where my passion is, and all things “family” are where it’s at right now.
